VIDEOWORKS
TECHNOLOGY AT
YOUR SERVICE

Maurizio Minossi - Videoworks Technical Director

Mr. Minossi, since many years your company is a benchmark for the technology on board. With what kind of philosophy Videoworks SpA develops and realizes products for the entertainment in the luxury sector? Videoworks always starts from the requests of the Owner and works closely with the shipyard and the designers’ team to create and implement a solution, in line with the budget, able to ensure a comfortable experience in terms of entertainment, communication and home automation control. The keywords can be listening, working with teams of specialists, paying particular attention to the user experience and organization to ensure an appropriate level of after-sales service.

How your products can boost the browsing experience, and change their habits, what innovations do you have in the pipeline? During the latest months, we are giving special attention, in terms of innovation, to an ever better sound quality of indoor and outdoor areas and to the creation of a software platform capable to bring on the mobile devices of the Owner, guests and crew all the controls and information, without of course, complicate life or require engineering degrees. For Videoworks the innovation starts from its ideas, but often meets the challenges of its Clients. In the case of the “Nauta” of the Cantiere delle Marche the Owner is an audiophile so we have worked hard with the yard and the interior designer to create an audio-visual system with features and performance that are usually found on yachts of very different size.

Can you explain in detail what are the equipment and the solutions adopted for the Nauta Air 86 you are working on for Cantiere delle Marche and the Owner? The Owner is an “audiophile from birth” and pushed to have the top of the line built-in B & W in the lounge and in his cabin, and exterior speakers JL Audio tweeters, midranges, woofers and a lot of “beer” to push them. For parties and special events cases of stage and DJ console. For the rest satellite TV for all guests, on-demand access to its digital library of music and movies, all controlled by the tabet wi-fi.

In terms of audiovisual, the technology makes giant steps in a short time and the solutions adoptable are numerous: each of these is determined by the Owner’s needs and personal taste: if you were the Owner of a yacht of the Cantiere delle Marche, what would you ask to Videoworks? Considering that those who choose CDM typically chooses a philosophy of life at sea, in accordance with that choice, I would ask Videoworks the maximum comfort of life on a cruise, an excellent sound quality without taking up too much space. All with a proper infrastructure for the first five years and then already able to be the basis of a subsequent technological refitting.

Finally, tell us about your experience with Cantiere delle Marche. You used keywords to describe your business: what are the keywords you would use to describe the CDM and its staff? It ‘a team of people who know all the technical and operational nuances of luxury yachting and truly love their products and the sea, a truly effective combination.
